Filtration Packages with Synthetic Media
IPC, through its strategic alliance with H2O LIFE INN, supplies high-performance filtration packages built around a proprietary high-resistance synthetic media bed. Unlike conventional granular media (sand, anthracite), the synthetic bed offers a significantly higher service factor — meaning longer filtration cycles, reduced chemical consumption, and lower operational cost per barrel of water treated.
The system is engineered to handle inlet water containing up to 250 mg/L of hydrocarbons, effectively retaining both hydrocarbons and suspended solids at the top of the bed. Optimal bed cleaning is achieved through a combined backwash and air-bubble purge system controlled by fully automatic flow and backwash management systems, maximizing uptime and operational reliability.
Treated water outlets consistently achieve less than 2 mg/L of suspended solids and less than 5 mg/L of oil and grease — performance levels that support direct reinjection into the reservoir or regulatory-compliant surface discharge, depending on field requirements.
